What does this mean?

BAFTS audits all its members every year; checking that we stick to our ethical principles.

To become a BAFTS member we have to prove that we source all our products from accredited importers, whose working practices are carefully monitored. BAFTS importers buy from small factories, workshops and family businesses, and always pay a fair price, so you can be sure that all the goods we sell are ethically sourced and fairly traded either by ourselves, or by other accredited importers.

We aim to bring you fantastic quality products, buying direct from the makers and designers, so we know where they come from and how they are made.

Like you, we are concerned about working conditions in the developing world. We firmly believe that the best way to improve people's lives is through fair trade, giving producers in developing countries security and helping them develop their skills
